While much well-deserved attention has been given to the devastating bushfires in New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania that have come about as a result of our AGW induced record-breaking heat wave, very little attention has been given to the fires in the far north of Queensland. Many of these fires have been burning uncontrolled since September 2012. Hundreds of large grazing properties have been affected and thousands of head of cattle have been destroyed. The scale of the disaster is staggering.
